Free forever, not free for 30 days
Some invoicing tools let you invoice free only for a while — once the trial ends, you have to pick a paid plan. Others do have a permanent free tier, but hedge it with tight limits, such as a handful of clients. Lucanto does not work like a trial: you create invoices online for free, the number of one-off invoices is not capped, and the Free plan does not expire after 30 days. You do not enter card details when you register.
The Free plan is built for one user and includes 50 clients, one bank account, one cash account and 100 API requests a month. When you later want to track expenses, invoice in another currency or work as a team, you move to a paid plan — but you can keep invoicing free for as long as Free is enough. What a free Lucanto invoice includes
A free invoice from Lucanto is not a stripped-down version. It carries the details an invoice needs whether or not you are VAT-registered, your own numbering, and a payment QR code your customer scans in their banking app instead of retyping the account number and reference (SK, CZ). Client details for Slovak and Czech companies are filled in from the register by name or registration number, and Lucanto shows you straight away whether the client is VAT-registered — so the invoice is right the first time.

Can you invoice without registering?
People often look for a free invoice with no sign-up. Lucanto needs a free account, which takes seconds to open with an e-mail address, no card and no commitment. The account earns its keep: your invoices are stored, you can resend them, keep them in one numbering sequence and have them together when a client or an accountant asks. Invoicing as an individual, without a registered business
You can usually issue a document for occasional income without running a registered business. What that document has to contain, whether a registration number is required, and how the income is taxed all depend on where you are based — thresholds and exemptions differ from country to country, and they change.
Lucanto produces the document and keeps it in order. It does not decide your tax position for you: check the rules that apply where you live, or ask an accountant, before you rely on a particular treatment. If you are not VAT-registered, you simply invoice without VAT, and Lucanto lays the invoice out accordingly.

Enter the customer
Type the company name or registration number and Lucanto fills in the rest from the public registers (SK, CZ) and shows whether the client is VAT-registered. You can also invoice a private individual.
Add the line items
Fill in the description, quantity and price. If you are VAT-registered you add the rate; if you are not, you invoice without VAT.
Check the details and the QR code
Lucanto adds the sequential number, the dates and a payment QR code (SK, CZ) your customer can scan in their banking app.
Download or send it
Save it as a PDF and e-mail it to your customer. The invoice stays in your account and you can reopen it any time.
